Scan formulas from Obsidian

One click from inside Obsidian. The editor works without it.

  1. Install MathLive in Obsidian

Find MathLive in Obsidian’s community plugins, then Install and Enable.

  2. Scan your first formulas

Copy a screenshot of a formula and click Scan in the MathLive editor. Your first 3 scans need no account.

  3. Connect your account

In Obsidian, open Settings → MathLive and click Connect, then sign in with Google here. You get 10 free scans to start, then 5 free every month.

Use an API key instead

If your browser can’t open Obsidian, create a key and paste it in Settings → MathLive → Advanced → API key.

Sign in first to create a key.
