What's new in MathLive
MathLive 2.3 polishes the editor that 2.2 filled with new ways to write math.
MathLive 2.3
Magic edit in the ✨ menu
Each formula keeps just two small buttons. Magic edit is now in its ✨ menu, next to scanning, drawing and finding a formula.
A roomier editor window
The editor window grows on big screens, with bigger formulas, its own ☰ menu, and one ✨ menu for every way to fill it.
Menus that close when you expect
MathLive's menus close on a click anywhere else or on Escape.
MathLive 2.2
Find a formula
Search a library of thousands of formulas by name, by what they describe, in any language, or by LaTeX. When it isn't there, Write it with AI writes it for you.
Draw a formula
Draw with your mouse or pen, or scan the code and write on your phone. The formula shows up on both screens as you go.
Magic edit
Describe a change to a formula, typed or spoken, and MathLive makes it. Undo is one click away.
Cleaner notes
A formula's buttons only show when you point at it, everything for the whole vault is in one ✨ menu, and we fixed the issues you reported.

Edit formulas inside the sentence
Inline formulas stay at text size, and the Expand button opens a larger editor with the math keyboard.
Scan instead of typing
Turn a screenshot into LaTeX, or scan straight from your screen: a PDF, a website, or any other app.
Faster, more accurate scans
Each scan goes to the AI model that reads it best, so printed and handwritten formulas both come out right.
Turn a PDF into notes
Convert every page, or only the ones you choose, handwritten pages included, with formulas as editable LaTeX.
