Questions about paying
What counts as a scan?
An image that comes back as a formula, a drawing you insert, a magic edit that changes the formula, or a formula written with AI. Searching the library and previewing a drawing are free. If something fails or finds no math, nothing is taken off your balance.
How do PDF pages work?
Turning a PDF into notes reads it one page at a time. On the free plan each page uses one scan. Monthly and Yearly include 500 pages a month and Lifetime 300, starting over each calendar month. Blank pages are free. If you use up a month's pages, your account page offers more.
What does “unlimited” mean?
Scan, draw and edit as much as you need for your own notes. A fair-use limit of about 20 scans a minute per key keeps the service fast for everyone; normal use never reaches it.
How do I cancel a monthly or yearly plan?
On your billing page, choose Manage in Polar and cancel. Unlimited scans last until the end of the month or year you paid for, and nothing more is charged. Older plans started through PayPal are cancelled in PayPal under Automatic payments.
