Sensitivity (true positive rate)
Gives the fraction of truly positive cases that a binary test correctly identifies as positive. It is used to evaluate diagnostic tests and classifiers.
\mathrm{TPR} = \frac{\mathrm{TP}}{\mathrm{P}} = \frac{\mathrm{TP}}{\mathrm{TP}+\mathrm{FN}}What the symbols mean
| true positive rate (sensitivity), a dimensionless proportion between 0 and 1 | |
| number of true positives, cases that are positive and correctly classified as positive | |
| number of false negatives, positive cases incorrectly classified as negative | |
| total number of actual positive cases, equal to TP + FN |
