Complex number standard form
Writes a complex number as a real part plus an imaginary part, where i is the imaginary unit with i squared equal to minus one. It is the basic way to represent and manipulate complex numbers.
z = x + \mathrm{i} yWhat the symbols mean
| complex number | |
| real part of z, a real number | |
| imaginary part of z, a real number | |
