Euler method
Advances an approximate solution of an ordinary differential equation y' = f(t, y) by one step of size h, using the slope at the current point. It is the simplest explicit numerical method for initial value problems.
y_{n+1}=y_{n}+h\,f(t_n,y_n)What the symbols mean
| approximate value of the solution at step n | |
| approximate value of the solution at the next step | |
| step size | |
| time at step n | |
| the right-hand side of the differential equation y' = f(t, y) evaluated at (t_n, y_n) |
