Exponential growth formula
Gives the amount of a quantity after t periods when it grows by a fixed fraction r each period starting from x_0. A negative r describes geometric decay.
x_t = x_0(1+r)^tWhat the symbols mean
| quantity after t periods | |
| initial quantity at time zero | |
| growth rate per period, as a fraction | |
| number of periods elapsed |
