Kronecker delta
The Kronecker delta equals 1 when its two indices are equal and 0 otherwise. It is used throughout linear algebra, tensor calculus and physics to write sums compactly, for example to express the identity matrix or orthonormality.
\delta_{ik} = \begin{cases} 1 & i = k \\ 0 & i \ne k \end{cases}What the symbols mean
