Einstein field equations
These equations relate the curvature of spacetime, described by the Einstein tensor, to the energy and momentum it contains, given by the stress-energy tensor. They form the core of general relativity and are used to model gravity in cosmology and astrophysics.
G_{\mu \nu} + \Lambda g_{\mu \nu} = \frac{8 \pi G}{c^4} T_{\mu \nu}What the symbols mean
| Einstein tensor, describing spacetime curvature | |
| cosmological constant | |
| metric tensor of spacetime | |
| Newtonian gravitational constant | |
| speed of light in vacuum | |
| stress-energy tensor |
