Sinusoidal signal equation
Gives the value of a sinusoidal signal at time t, given its amplitude and frequency. It is used to model alternating currents, sound and other periodic oscillations.
x(t) = A\sin(2 \pi f t)What the symbols mean
| instantaneous value of the signal at time t | |
| amplitude of the signal (same unit as x) | |
| frequency of the oscillation in hertz (\mathrm{Hz}) | |
| time in seconds (\mathrm{s}) |
