Bernoulli's principle
For steady, inviscid, incompressible flow along a streamline, the sum of kinetic energy per unit mass, gravitational potential per unit mass, and pressure energy per unit mass stays constant. It is used to relate fluid speed and pressure at different points in a flow, such as in pipes, nozzles, and around wings.
\frac{v^2}{2} + \Psi + \frac{p}{\rho} = CWhat the symbols mean
| flow speed (m/s) | |
| gravitational potential per unit mass (J/kg) | |
| fluid pressure (Pa) | |
| fluid density (kg/m^3) | |
| constant along a streamline (J/kg) |
