Euler equations
These equations describe how the velocity of an inviscid fluid changes in time under pressure gradients and gravity. They are used in fluid dynamics for flows where viscosity and heat conduction are negligible.
\frac{\partial \mathbf{v}}{\partial t} + (\mathbf{v}\cdot \nabla)\mathbf{v} = \mathbf{g} - \frac{1}{\rho}\nabla pWhat the symbols mean
| flow velocity vector (m/s) | |
| time (s) | |
| mass density of the fluid (kg/m^3) | |
| pressure (Pa) | |
| gravitational acceleration vector (m/s^2) | |
| del (nabla) operator, spatial gradient |
