Bragg's law
Gives the angles at which X-rays or other waves scattered by a crystal lattice interfere constructively. It is used in X-ray crystallography to find lattice plane spacings or wavelengths.
n\lambda = 2d\sin\thetaWhat the symbols mean
| order of diffraction, a positive integer | |
| wavelength of the incident wave | |
| spacing between adjacent lattice planes | |
| Bragg angle, the angle between the incident wave and the lattice planes |
