Frequency from period
Frequency is the reciprocal of the period, so it gives the number of cycles completed per unit time. It is used for any repeating or oscillating process, such as waves, rotation, or alternating current.
f=\frac{1}{T}What the symbols mean
| frequency in hertz (\mathrm{Hz}), cycles per second | |
| period, the time for one complete cycle in seconds (\mathrm{s}) |
