Heat equation
Describes how temperature spreads through a region over time by conduction. It is used to model heat flow and, in general form, any diffusion process.
\frac{\partial u}{\partial t} = \alpha \nabla^2 uWhat the symbols mean
| temperature field u(x,t) (K) | |
| time (s) | |
| thermal diffusivity (m^2/s) | |
| Laplace operator with respect to spatial coordinates |
