Mass–energy equivalence
Gives the energy content of a body at rest as the product of its mass and the square of the speed of light. It is used to convert between mass and energy in relativity and nuclear physics.
E = mc^2What the symbols mean
| energy (joules, J) | |
| mass (kilograms, kg) | |
| speed of light in vacuum (metres per second, m/s) |
