Mirror equation
Relates the object distance, image distance and focal length of a spherical curved mirror. It is used to locate where an image forms and whether it is real or virtual.
\frac{1}{d_\mathrm{o}}+\frac{1}{d_\mathrm{i}}=\frac{1}{f}What the symbols mean
| distance from the object to the mirror (m) | |
| distance from the image to the mirror (m), negative for virtual images | |
| focal length of the mirror (m) |
