Planck's law
Gives the spectral radiance of a black body in thermal equilibrium at a given frequency and temperature. It is the basis of black body radiation calculations in thermodynamics and astrophysics.
B(\nu,T)=\frac{2h\nu^{3}}{c^{2}}\frac{1}{\exp\left(\frac{h\nu}{k_{\mathrm{B}}T}\right)-1}What the symbols mean
| spectral radiance per unit frequency (W·sr⁻¹·m⁻²·Hz⁻¹) | |
| frequency of the radiation (Hz) | |
| thermodynamic temperature (K) | |
| Planck constant (J·s) | |
| speed of light in vacuum (m/s) | |
| Boltzmann constant (J/K) |
