Pressure definition
Pressure is the component of force acting perpendicular to a surface divided by the area over which it acts. It is used to find the pressure exerted by a force spread over a surface.
p = \frac{\mathbf{e}_{\mathrm{n}} \cdot \mathbf{F}}{A}What the symbols mean
| pressure (Pa) | |
| unit normal vector to the surface | |
| force vector (N) | |
| area over which the force acts (m^2) |
