Amount-of-substance concentration
Gives the concentration of a solute X as the amount of substance divided by the volume of the solution, most often in moles per litre. It is used throughout chemistry when preparing solutions and calculating reaction stoichiometry.
c_{\mathrm{X}} = \frac{n_{\mathrm{X}}}{V}What the symbols mean
| amount-of-substance concentration of component X (mol/L or mol/m^3) | |
| amount of substance of X (mol) | |
| volume of the solution (L or m^3) |
