Amount of substance definition
The amount of substance of an entity type X equals the number of those entities divided by the Avogadro constant. It is used to convert between a count of particles and the number of moles in chemistry.
n(\mathrm{X}) = \frac{N(\mathrm{X})}{N_{\mathrm{A}}}What the symbols mean
