Displacement from initial velocity, acceleration and time
Gives the displacement of an object moving with constant acceleration from its initial velocity, the acceleration and the elapsed time. It is one of the standard SUVAT equations used in introductory kinematics.
s = ut + \frac{1}{2}at^{2}What the symbols mean
| displacement (m) | |
| initial velocity (m/s) | |
| constant acceleration (m/s^2) | |
| elapsed time (s) |
