Molar mass
Molar mass is the mass of one mole of a substance, found by dividing its mass by its amount of substance in moles. It is used to convert between the mass and the number of moles of a chemical sample.
M = \frac{m}{n}What the symbols mean
| molar mass, in \mathrm{g\,mol^{-1}} | |
| mass of the sample, in \mathrm{g} | |
| amount of substance, in \mathrm{mol} |
