Momentum
Gives the linear momentum of a body as the product of its mass and velocity. It is used throughout classical mechanics to describe a body's motion and in conservation of momentum problems.
\boldsymbol{p} = m\boldsymbol{v}What the symbols mean
| linear momentum vector (kg·m/s) | |
| mass of the body (kg) | |
| velocity vector of the body (m/s) |
