Momentum equation
Linear momentum of a body is the product of its mass and velocity, and it points in the direction of the velocity. It is used throughout classical mechanics to describe motion and collisions.
\vec{p} = m\vec{v}What the symbols mean
| linear momentum (kg·m/s) | |
| mass of the body (kg) | |
| velocity of the body (m/s) |
