Newton's first law
A body keeps its velocity, either at rest or moving in a straight line at constant speed, unless a net external force acts on it. It is the basis for defining inertial reference frames.
\sum \vec{F}=0 \Rightarrow \vec{v}=\text{const}What the symbols mean
| vector sum of all external forces on the body (N) | |
| velocity of the body (m/s) |
